Rims and Grins

For more reasons than one. But we have them! Alex DM18 - $28 a rim. Wide enough to seat the LED’s comfortably and walls thin enough to allow the acrylic diffuser to make contact with the strip. Really, a steal more like. If only that could be said for the rest of the bike parts we need to buy: spokes, centerlock adapter, bolts (for the slip rings), spoke wrench…and that pushed us pretty close to the end of our budget.

After a brief financial meeting, we bought all of it. All $108. We didn’t expect spokes to be $.65 per spoke! For 72 of them at that (we could have spent over $1.25 for each, do the math…). I believe we have spent over $700 of our $865. Funny how money can just disappear.
